Panasonic HCV700K import into FCP 7
Posted by Josie Mac on November 12, 2012 at 7:22 pmLog and Transfer doesn’t recognize the AVCHD/MTS files from this camera, and I’m not having any luck finding a plugin or converter or any info from Panasonic about this. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Are you running L&T on the camera card, or a copy of the original file/folder structure?
L&T needs all that to work. Doesn’t work on the bare MTS files.
If you don’t have the original folder, you can try download the PANASONIC AVCCAM QT Component.

November 13, 2012 at 2:58 amI tried log and transfer both on the original SD card and on a copy of the entire file structure, FCP won’t see the files at all. I downloaded AVCCAM and now the MTS files will import into FCP but playback in canvas or viewer is completely choppy and eventually crashes the program. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

November 13, 2012 at 5:24 amNow with the AVCCAM installed you can open the files with QT and convert them to Prores.
MPGstreamclip batch export should be Ok.
You can also try ClpWrap.
