i have had requests this week, for 5 different cameras!! BetaSP, Digi-Beta, Varicam, SDX-900 and the sony HDV. I sure wish everyone would get together and decide on 1.

But, since i have 3 BetaSP packages, i hate renting gear and possibly having one of my cams sitting around. There are no rental houses in BR. However, it is a small community and we do trade outs with some of the other owners.

One format would make life a lot easier. The Sony D-600 was probably one of the biggest money-makers for freelancers ever.

I respectfully disagree. I think the biggest money-makers were those of us who bought the Sony D30 betacam. We charged the same rate and paid it off in half the time…
