Panasonic DVX200 – mp4 media
Wondering if anyone has a good workflow solution for dealing with Panasonic’s mp4 media shot on the DVX200? It’s 1080p 23.976 not any 4K flavors. I’m trying to link or import into Avid MC 7.0.4 and can’t find a codec or a workflow other than transcoding in an external 3rd party program (Media Encoder) to DNxHD. Am looking for a faster workflow and can’t believe that Avid doesn’t have a “native” workflow as in AMA/Link to Media solution yet?? Can’t find any info out there.

We have a AMA linking product for that workflow called MediaReactor Workstation. There is a 99$ version that supports both Sony XAVC-S MP4 and the Panasonic MP4 directly in MediaComposer 6, 7, and 8. You can get a free trial from
