Panasonic AJ-HD1400
Help!!
Does anyone know how to setup a AJ-HD1400 to output 23.97 TC.
I’m loading a pile of DVCPro tapes show with Varicam. The system TC is 59.96, and the output TC is 29.97 fps, not 23.97

The deck doesn’t output 23.98 TC, because tapes don’t record 23.98 code. DVCPRO HD tapes are either 59.94 or 29.97 fps. 23.98 is a frame rate that FCP can extract from a 59.94 stream. If you capture 23.98 and look at the code, you will note that the TC numbers go up to 59, but they skip all over…numbers are dropped. Those are the redundant frames.
