I have FCP 4.5 and have been importing footage with no problems using firewire as long as I use the DV/DVCPro codec.

Is there a way to get 601 720×486 uncompressed 8/10 bit out of the D250 via firewire?

I’ve tried creating my own capture settings without luck. For one thing under device control and fire wire it only shows 720 x 480 and you can’t create a new configuration. Also under capture presets the “digitizer” option only shows “none” or “DV video”.

    Thanks for your suggestions, Dean

Firewire will do DV 720×480 411 or DV50 720×480 422. You’ll need to go out to SDI to get true 601 720×486 422. Can you explain why you need to do this?

    Hi,

The AJ-D250 does not have a 601 output nor will the firewire allow a 720 by 486 output.

    Hope that helps,
