February 6, 2010 at 5:11 pmHi Felix, it looks like we have the same gear/workflow set up, and after reading many posts on here feel lucky to get in the game at this level. Production and editing has been smooth for me as well. I was wondering about your experiences with outputting/compressions/etc. Mine seem to be a bit pixelated and choppy for such a high level workflow. How are you saving/outputting your work, and for what medium, web, broadcast? I’ve been outputting through apple compressor thus far. What sequence settings in fcp 7 did you find to work the best for you? Just curious of your experiences and results. Thanks.

April 9, 2010 at 4:47 pmI have a brand new 150 and Final Cut pro and also noticed rough edges when using Apple Compressor.
Things better when exporting to Quick Time Conversion, mp4 with H264 and 1280×720, data rate 2048, frame 29.97.
Any other ideas on compressing welcome.
Also on the best setting for shooting in low light.

February 25, 2011 at 8:46 pmGuys, I am trying to import my footage. I just recently purchased the AGHMC150. I did some test footage and then went to import it into FCE. I popped the SD card into my MacBook Pro, but nothing. It won’t read/recognize or import the footage from the card. I opened log and capture in FCE and nothing is even showing up, even though all the footage is playing fine on my camera. Any ideas???

February 20, 2012 at 11:24 pmI came across this thread doing research on this camera, because we’ll be shooting a project with it this weekend. This is also the first time I’ll be shooting something that’s NOT 23.976.
I notice in the manual it states:
“For output and recording, the 30-frame-per-seoncd signal is converted to 60-field-per-second interlace. This mode gives you high quality images.”
The signal specs also state:
“1080/60i, 1080/30p (over 60i), 1080/24p (native), 720/60p, 720/30p (over 60p), 720/24p (native)”
First of all, why would they do this (30p is actually 60i)? I don’t want interlaced footage; I want progressive. Second of all, I assume this is perhaps the reason the original poster is seeing 59.94 instead of 29.97.
If the footage is interlaced, I can’t easily toss out the second field of this 60i footage (without de-interlacing and losing resolution), so it seems I’m stuck with interlaced looking footage (60i) whether I like it or not. Is this true?
