I’m sorry in advance for the noob questions, but I’ve always been confused about the topic.

So I’ve got the camera set up as 30pn but when I look at the footage, its telling me 29.97 progressive in final cut. Is 29.97 progressive the same thing as 30pn?

    Thank you

The timecode will be 29.97 regardless but you can easily tell if it’s truly 30p by looking at individual frames. If you see interlacing i.e. horizontal lines on everything- that’s 29.97. If you don’t that’s 30p.
