    Hey everybody,

I was just wondering if someone could shed some light on the subject of 16:9 in Premiere. I have both Pro and CS3, and I was wondering if it would be a good idea or even feasible to shoot in the Panasonic DVX’s “squeeze mode”? I would like to do some widescreen for my next project, but is this the way to go about it? I don’t have an actual widescreen lense. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The original DVX letterboxed 4:3, the DVXa DSP upscaled the letterboxed 4:3 to a anamorphic 16:9, which was a tad worse than a VX/PD upscaled cropped footage, both lose vertical resolution by going from 480pixels V to about 360pixels V best want to shoot 16:9 on the DVX/DVXa and VX/PD is with Anamorphic conversion lenses which give a full 720×480 1.2 anamorphic.
