June 6, 2010 at 5:18 pmSpec Comm has a few available or at least they did on Friday. Talk to Jasmine, she has been posting about these over on DVX User

June 8, 2010 at 1:05 amDan’s right, I got mine last Friday from Spec-Comm. I did a test today comparing it to our PCD20 5-card P2 reader. The PCD2 transfer times were the same with its two USB cables vs. FW800 with the PCD20.
I got transfer times with a full 32Gb P2 card of 25 minutes using a MacBook Pro with Shotput Pro 2.7.1 and G-Tech Mini HDD.Jeff Regan

June 8, 2010 at 1:12 amGood to know Jeff. Those are not bad at all. The best I have ever had was with my PB G4 and that would have been the equivalent of 24 minutes (32GB card’s didn’t exist when I was using my PB G4, but four 8GBs at 6 minutes ea)
I look forward to acquiring one as soon as a project comes up that will pay for it 😉
I know that PCD-35 can do astounding transfer times but that is a bit more pricey than the PCD-2

June 8, 2010 at 1:15 amDan, yes, PCD35 is super fast with a tower and PCIe card slot. The best part about the PCD2 is I can throw away my Duel Adapter! I still use a G4 as well if the shoot is DVCPRO HD, but not for AVC-Intra 100.
