    went to do pan and zoom effect on a 7 second clip – when i went to retrieve the orginal image from graphics up came “avid pan and zoom error – to enough memory to load image” what is that from – i have tons of memory left on all my drives – i restarted computer, still a problem – whats up?

    It’s not your drives space available, it is your computer’s RAM that is the problem. Pan & Zoom loads everything into RAM to preview to you. If your RAM is used up then you will get that error.

    How much RAM do you have. I would recommend 2 GBs if you don’t have that.

    How large is the picture you are trying to use? You can resize it smaller in Photoshop and that might handle the error.

    What resolution do you have selected in the Pan & Zoom plugin? You can select a draft resolution, I believe it’s called video resolution, before you try to load the picture. It will give you a very low quality preview, but when you render it will look great. This also keeps the plugin from eating up so much RAM.
