Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to save a pallet layout scheme.

I use Vegas for video primarily, but I also use it extensively for audio editing (splicing for the most part). When I’m using Vegas for video, I have many different palates, or windows, open at once; video fx, levels, scopes, explorer, etc. I work with a dual monitor setup and I put all of these palates in one monitor, and the time line in another. When I edit audio, I like to have all of these other windows closed so that I can have the script open in word in the other monitor.

Is there a way that I can save these two different layouts so that I don’t have to manually reset locations?

    Thanks, Ethan

In Vegas 5 and 6, yes. It’s all fully documented in the help file. Basically, get the layout looking the way you want and then press CTRL-ALT-D, release that and press a number across the top of the keyboard (i.e. NOT on the numeric keypad). This will save this layout under that number. To recall the layout, you press ALT-D, release that and press the number. Using the numbers 1 through 0, you can have up to 10 layouts saved.
