Is there any good software out there free, or cheap that will run on a MAC that will allow me to convert PAL DVD’s to NTSC DVD’s?

Not for free. If you want it at a fair price go to nattress.com.

It looks like all of these are plug ins for FCP. I just want a stand alone software conversion for PAL to NTSC. Any other ideas?

    Thanks again.

DVfilm.com offers a good standalone application for this.

Thanks for your help, my problem is that I have a PAL DVD. I need to turn it into an NTSC DVD. I don’t have PAL footage. I just need to make the region 2 DVD a region 1. Any advice on that? I promise this is my last post. Thanks again…Chad

    Hi Chad,

The only way I know of to do this is to use canopus procoder, but its pc only.

If the material is not commercial (ie content protected) I might be able to
do the conversion for you fair price. I’ve done 2 or 3 pal to ntsc conversions and they turned out very nice and original looking.

send me an email for details if your interested.
