    Hi,
I’d like to know what are the best setting to go from a PAL clip to NTSC.
I tried several times but the result is a jerky clip, which looses some frames here and there.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot,
    Paolo

Getting smooth playback on NTSC from a PAL video is an illusion. AE always needs to extrapolate non-existing frames and this will make any motion look odd. The best results I’ve ever seen are created with the Algolith frame rate converter. Unfortunately it’s expensive, extremely slow and very unstable to use. Also look into other alternatives such as RevisionFX’ range of products or ReTimer. Lastly: Look for other external tools such as ProCoder or Cleaner. There’s a million ways, but none of them will do what can be called perfect.
