PAL Delivery Update for Australia?
Sorry I should have posted this as a new thread and not in the 8-gig thread.
Any word on PAL deliveries, Jan? We are in turmoil here with Panasonic’s long-term Australian distributor Rexel no longer representing Panasonic professional and broadcast products.
Nearly all the staff around the country were terminated two days before Christmas, and there is absolutely NO information process or any trade advertising whatsoever from Panasonic Australia or Panasonic Global as to what the hell is going on down here. I spoke to the MD of Panasonic Australia today and he said call one of the video dealers for more info.
I’ve also spoken to other DVCPRO50 producers who are very nervous about Panasonic’s commitment to the Australian market. It’s an absolute mess and even the poor VAR’s haven’t got a clue what’s going on. VERY frustrating, and strange considering the company is launching a major new product.

Hi Peter,
I have launched the question(just) and when I get an answer I will let you know or someone from that side of the world will chime in. Hang tight, politics are odd(in general, I know nothing about the situation), and from the outside hard to understand. I am sure it will wash out for the positive.

We are setting up new dealer network and service network. Please contact Panasonic Australia for your local dealer.
PAL model of AG-HVX200E will be available in April in Australia.
