  PAL Compatible Hi8 Digital8 Player Recorder that can be plugged into Mac for digitisation

  I’m looking for a hi8, Digital8 player/recorder that I can plug into my Mac via FireWire so I can digitise 100s of hi8 and Digital8 tapes shot on a Sony camcorder. I’ve been using this camcorder but due to it’s age it is struggling to do the job. I’ve spent hours searching the web for one with a majority of that time going through the high number available on eBay but I just can’t find one that is PAL compatible. Does anyone know of anywhere I could source one?
  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
