  PAL 16/9 DVD – Prepping menu and buttons

  I have been working on a DVD where all the elements are in PAL 16/9 720×576. The DVD will be principally viewed on computers with 16/9 screens. I started by making the menus in 1920×1080 to keep the PAR right but this has been a failure. I have menus with upto 18 buttons and the button highlights don’t line up with the background. Having read that Encore is very particular on PAR and menu buttons, I wanted to know how I should best redo the menus. Do I use 1024×576 square pixel or 720×576 anamorphic in photoshop? The manual is not very clear on all this. Are there any issues that I should know of that will get my button hi-lights all lined up perfectly.
