    PAL 1080 i50?

    Hi

    (did a search on 1080 before posting)

    I’m working my ways through tutorials and having some fun of my own with motion these days, but I cannot find corresponding PAL setups for motion and FCP.

    FCP can do 1080 i50 (for PAL)but motion only has 1080 i60.

    Is there other setup files somewhere or can I just change the framerate to my will in motion?

    I was under the impression this particular setup was not yet supported in FCP but I could be wrong. You may need to add a card such as a Kona.

    i50 is, p25 isn’t.

    There are three 1080i50 project presets in Motion 2.0 – for DVCPROHD, HDV, and regular HD.

    But, you can very easily create your own setups in Motion via preferences. Go to the Presets icon and choose “Project Presets” from the Show popup button. From there, you can duplicate one of the existing ones and change it however you like, or create one from scratch.

    You can also do this right from the New Project dialog by choosing “Custom…” from the menu.
