    Hello,

Can anyone suggest me a way to color black & white footage ?
The original footage is classical animation which has a lot of B&W tones, and I would like to color it in a way which will be close to monochromatic with maybe 4-5 different hues.
I am still searching for the right look, so I am not very specific about what I want, I am open to different suggestions to colorize this footage.

    Thank you,
    Yaron.

You could mess with Colorama or rotoscope as in this tutorial.

Colorama makes sure that a specific shade of gray always becomes a specific color. Rotoscoping ensures that a specific area (say, a hat) becomes a specific color, but it’s a tedious process. Colorama might work with your footage ….
