    Does anyone in the world of the COW know the method(s) to creating paint splatter used in various MTV intros, lower thirds, or show segments. What are the tools being used to accomplish this? Can it be done utilizing FCP HD, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop. All help is very much appreciated. I Love the COW community!!!

    Splattering white paint onto a peice of plate glass with a black background.

    That is how we did it back in college. And I think the method is still alive and kicking…nothing beats the read thing.

    That’s how I would do it. You can also purchase some paint splatters from Eye Wire.

    Art Beats also makes ’em. You could probably also create the effect with bezier splines in AE, Boris or Motion.
