I had many problems you guys had with the MXF files that the HVX puts out and solved it with P2CMS. I understand that P2CMS isn’t as good as somethings out there but it was free and I was in a pinch.

However, I’m in a pinch again and this time P2CMS isn’t transcoding. I can import my media into P2CMS and view it. But when I ingest it, the progress bar gets to 100% and says it failed.

The harddrive we were transcoding to had enough memory space and everything worked according to what I’ve done in the past. Has anyone encountered this before?

    Thanks.

Explain your exact workflow from the time you take your P2 cards out of the camera and we can probably solve your problem. Include hard drive make/model and connection.

Hey Steve. Thanks for responding. Turns out that the PC connection setting on the camera wasn’t set to USB. Once it was set to USB, the computer read the footage just fine.

Minor error but caused a big problem. Good thing it only happened during workflow tests.
