P2CMS download problem
Ok, new to this game..
My old powerbook G4 had P2cms installed and worked perfectly fine. It has now crashed so i bought a new (second hand) powerbook G4. I have downloaded P2CMS from Pan. website. the interface works like on my old powerbook, i get perfect audio…. but i cant see my clips? i can see its playing, bit there is no visual??

And do you have FCP installed on this system?

i have FCP 4.5 installed. On my old powerbook i didnt have fcp installed but P2CMS worked perfectly well??
When you look at Apple specs for fcp it says you need an Intel processor. A powerbook hasnt, but fcp still loads up?

Not for 4.5, that version was universal.
Are you shooting AVC-Intra? If so, you do need an intel proc.

It’s another Panasonic codec, but you’re not shooting with it so no worries.
What version of P2CMS is installed?

Ihave just goneto the Panasonic website anddownloaded the P2CMS version thats available

I can’t remember, but I am not sure the FCP 4.5 supported 720pN25 material as it didn’t have the proper codec. That could be your problem.

My oldpowerbook didnt have FCP installed, but still P2CMSworked fine, so im very confused about this. Anyway, i formattet the newer Powerbook and copied the old one over, so at least its working now…
