    Hi folks,

the first shootings with the AJSPX 800 and P2 are done with following results:

We’ve had one P2 card, which had a misfunction always at the same point. We just removed the card and continued shooting. Panasonic swopped the card immediately (good service)
The workflow transfering the data into the computer is fine. We used DVCPro50 codec and FCP 5.0, a powerbook G4 1700 Mghz, 1.5 GB Ram. We backed up the data imported through FCP on a 800 FW 500GB LaCie HD. Everything went smooth. You have to take care, that you import all data and double check. We shot 30 minutes before lunch (during lunch time we did the transfer) and around 28 minutes after lunch. We didn’t waste any time through the transfer process. What we did is, delete clips directly when we knew this wasn’t the thing. It’s more like shooting with film. You don’t want to waste time and money, the concentration on the set is better.
Problems were there when we shot on DV or DVCPro codec. The clips showed up in FCP, but we couldn’t import them. We got an error message. This was with DV codec. The DVCPRO codec transfer went all right, but the clips looked corrupted, strange. The new FCP 5.0.2 takes the DV codec. I’ve tried it. I didn’t try the DVCPro codec. I’ll let you know. The camera is fine. It works pretty well. Camerapeople shouldn’t have a problem, because everything is pretty similar to Sony.
    Comments welcome.
