    P2 is the only way to shoot 720PN (24/30)… is it true that you can see overcranking and undercranking in camera with PN footage?… as in shoot and preview?

    That is correct. One of the areas where P2 offers a clear advantage over the Firestore.

    Keep in mind you can achieve the same results in post using the Apple Frame Rate Converter utility. But you can only see the slow/fast motion effect in-camera from the cards.
