Quick question to the powers that be….
P2 acquisition on the Media100HD suite…
Which card formats are supported by v12 HD suite and which aren’t?
At the risk of making this look like one of my teenage daughter’s MySpace “surveys”, please check all that apply (I intentionally left the PAL modes off the list) :

-PI am asking as I encountered some footage last night that was “greyed out (italicized)” in the P2 import box. I had been shooting mixed modes and framerates the day before…the cameras are out on location and I have no quick/easy way of ascertaining which camera modes were responsible/not-importable.

I think you can look at the Video Input preferences dialog and see all the frame rates and sizes that R12 supports.

I am working with 720/24p footage.

Not in this case. I suspect one of my shooters shot the footage in 720/24pa or 720/24pn on the HVX & HPX cameras. The source footage I have here is clearly not supported in import–as evidenced by my inability to import it. I just don’t know specifically which of the two they shot–and without the cameras in the office, it is pretty difficult to figure it out. (Would normally just pop the card into the camera in VTR mode and examine the clips on the viewscreen.)
—I suspect that the “native” formats (ex. 720/24pn) are the ones tht aren’t supported–but again I would like to hear it from someone who has verified it.
POINT BEING: I need to tell my shooters to avoid one or more modes…but I don’t know which ones they are offhand.

Are you using and AJA based Media100, or the older Optibase HDx hardware?
I do not believe the older optibase hardware supports the new frame size (720), progressive frames nor andy 24fps frame rate…

I think Arthur is partially correct (the HDx card does support 720p50 and 720p59.94 though) but I don’t think that matters because the import dialog would allow you to bring in the media even if you couldn’t output it via the HDx. So M100 must be unhappy with some of those rates, although I’m not sure I understand all of them (480i/30p?)
