I’m looking to purchase a card reader to offload my Panasonic P2 cards. But can anyone suggest a reader that will read my P2 cards as well as other card format?

The Sonnet Qio is multi format card reader. It connects via express 34 or PCIe only.

    P2 only options:
Least expensive option is your P2 Camera.
Next option is the PCD2 single USB P2 card reader.

If you are looking for speed, there are more expensive options
    PCD20 FW800 or PCD35 Epress34/PCIe

Cool thanks but I think we’re leaning toward the Multi-format.

Just so you know, The Qio will only work on a MacBook Pro with an Express34 slot or Mac Pro.

The average offload speed for P2 on the Qio is 25MB/s

I’m currently on a project where they are shooting with P2 cards. Lucklily I had an old G4 Powerbook that had a PCMCIA slot which reads P2 cards. Works well for me.
