Greetings. I’ve tested P2 card transfer times from the HVX200 and the P2 Store to my MacBook Pro (Intel). Both sloooow.

My question is: how much faster will the transfer be when I get the Duel PCMCIA to Express adaptor and ingest directly from the card? It looks like we’ll be shooting with just two cards, one 16MB and one 32MB card, and I’m worried about the transfer dance with different sized cards.

    Thanks!

We use a MBP and Duel and we xfer 16GB cards in about 8 minutes which keeps you ahead of real time. Just be sure to back up carefully. We use a mirrored RAID in the field and each night xfer that material to another drive as well. That way both drives can travel separately. Remember, those drives are your show!
