P2 Time Date Stamp Meta Data
I am a legal videographer. I use P2 cards to record my video with a HVX-200 camera. I need my time date stamp to show up on the final video. Is there a way for FCP to display this?

Our P2 import helper application “P2 Flow CM” for “MXF4QT Import” maps all metadata from P2 to FCP. It’s not available in the free demo version but if you contact us through our website then we can send it to you for testing.
Please also review the “Fast P2 Workflow” PDF documentation on our website. You also find a MP4 movie showing the import process for FCP.

The only way to capture the date and time stamp as visible information on the screen from the camera is to capture with an HD capture card connected to the camera via Component.

I see this post is from a while ago but can you explain this more? what is Compoent and how do I get a capture card? I know this is probably a silly question but Im trying to do the same thing with legal video myself. Thanks for your help

RGB signal. RED, GREEN, BLUE. So three connectors instead of the one yellow RCA connection, or S-Video connection.
