P2 Store- no information where there probably should be.

I’m having what appears to be a unique problem with my P2 Store, since I couldn’t find anything exactly related in the forum.
It mounts fine on my Mac, but all I get is the “Contents” folder, and all of the folders within are empty. There is no “LastClip.txt” file either, which is odd.
The camera assistant from the shoot assures me that she copied the P2 cards to the P2 Store correctly, and just in case, I tried copying one over myself. It did appear to copy correctly, as the 20-100% LED’s lit up in a reasonable amount of time.
I watched Shane’s tutorial a few weeks back when I started using the P2 and everything has been working fine up until now.
I figure I’ll try to connect the P2 Store directly to the camera and see if the clips come up there in thumbnail format, just to see if there is indeed any information on the Store, but I figured I’d post here while I wait for the USB cable I need to be delivered.
Does anybody have any thoughts?

I have to ask, why are you copying files to the P2 Store? you should put in a a P2 card, and old start for 2 seconds and let it do the rest. Then mount the P2 store to your computer and everything should be in tact then drag the files FROM the P2 store.

You misunderstand. She downloaded footage from the P2 card to the P2 store, but now the P2 store, when connected to her computer, shows that the CONTENTS folders are empty.

Shane, you’re right. I read too fast.
I got tripped up on the terminology of copy a P2 card to the P2 store. It made me think she used a computer to do so.
Joni, sorry I can’t help with that problem. I bet there’s a kink in the workflow somewhere, especially if you say it’s working now.

Thanks. It’s actually not working now. It had worked in the past, when I did the intital testing with our DOP before the shoot, but it hasn’t been working since he returned yesterday.
It’s a pretty simple workflow, when it works, right? You just copy to card to the store, then connect the store to the mac and voila. Except this time there’s a sad lack of voila.
I spoke to someone who said sometimes mac’s have trouble reading the P2 Store correctly, and that I should:
1. Push and hold the HDD CAP button
2. Push the Battery button
3. Push the Cancel button
4. Push all 3 simultaneously and hold for 5 seconds…and then my world would come together. This did nothing. I think it’s perhaps a technique for getting the mac to mount the store in the first place, but I’m not having a problem mounting.
I was able to mount the store on a PC laptop in order to confirm that the files are indeed on it, and they are. So that’s good. I just need to get to them. Yeesh.
I’ll keep at it and post back when (I’m still thinking optimistically) I get it figured out. I’m still of course open to any other suggestions.

Alright, problem solved. For anyone who should need to know in the future…the solution was indeed to push many buttons in a specific order, but the instructions needed a bit of clarification:
1. Push and hold the HDD CAP button
2. Without letting go of the HDD CAP button, push and hold the Battery button
3. Without letting go of the Battrey button, push and hold the the Cancel button
4. Conitinue holding all 3 buttons down for 5 seconds.The Green USB light should trun orange.
Do this all while the P2 Store is connected to the Mac and mounted on the desktop. Once the green USB light turns orange, properly unmount the P2 Store from the desktop, and remount again. At that time, as many volumes as P2 cards that were copied to the store should show up on the desktop, all named “NO NAME.” Each will have a “Contents” folder and a “LastClip.txt” file. Copy them to your hard drive and continue with workflow as usual.
