    HI everyone,

I have a question for everyone. I have a spanned file on a p2 card. I eraesed the other p2 card before I know that I had spanned footage. I have been transferring to final cut pro on my lab top. The file will not transfer over but it is their and I can watch it.
My question, since the other footage is erased on the other p2 card all I need is the footage on this file on this p2 card. How do I get the footage on the P2 card.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I’m not sure I understand your question.

Using FCP, you perform the Log & Transfer function on each card in the exact same way, without regard for what is on the card or if there are spanned clips. These spanned clips will be assembled as one when you view them in FCP.

Now, if you erased the first card BEFORE you did a Log & Transfer, that footage is gone.

When you say that you can watch the file but you are unable to transfer it, what are you watching it on?

If you say that you can see it on your lcd screen, output it to tape via sdi or firewire and then digitize it the old fashion way into your machine
