P2 requirements
What version do you need to be at to get full p2 compatability?????
A cut is a cut & a dissolve is a disolve, and not just anybody with a system is a pro.

Depends…there are different formats you can record onto P2. For DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO, the bare minimum you need is FCP 5.0.4. FCP 5.1 would be better…tutorial for how to deal with those formats and FCP found here:

FCP 6 is the current version available…and works on G4s, G5s and Intel Macs. WOrkflow for that found here:
The other format you can record onto P2 is AVCIntra, from the HPX-2000 and 3000. With that you need FCP 6.0.4 and an Intel Mac.
