P2 Native MXF in FCP 6?
didn’t see any mention of it unless it’s part of the multiple format support in FCP6… was wondering if FCP 6 now supports native MXF for Panasonic P2 users? i’m tired of the rewrapping into quicktime in order to edit in FCP. kind of defeats the purpose of the P2 workflow. can anyone at NAB confirm this? thanks!

support for MXF wrapped media, P2 or otherwise, wasn’t noted as far as I can tell …we might need to wait for a more significant QT update to bring such capabilities

What I saw in person from FC6, the answer is no.
I did ask someone from the FC development team, and he said confirmed that there is no native mxf support, and that the metadata is retained, but not used, just like FCP5
