P2 MXF import to MC 8.x
Hi all,
I am having difficulty importing P2 mxf files. I’m on MC 8.5 on an iMac, 32 G of memory(It will properly bring in long spanned AVCHD clips)
The main instructions I’ve found from Avid/Panasonic mention “File->Import P2” but that command does not appear in my system. I tried using AMA but when I get the clip in a bin it has no audio. I then tried to link to the audio which worked but the time code disappeared from the video track. On export the clip freezes while the audio continues. Strange!
Any guidance would be great!

OK, so what I did was in the MC settings menu there is a LINK setting, there I checked ENABLE LEGACY P2 IMPORT. Blam, it’s back.
