    Hi all,
I am working with P2 media and have a couple of reels that will not import. There is data there 7.2 gigs worth, but log and transfer won’t read them.
I tried raylight it won’t read the mxf.
I tried p2 log pro it won’t read them.
I saw a post about editing the xml files, but that was from issues with the firestore. these files are not on a firestore. and when I opened xml the naming appeared to be the way the tutorial was telling me to make it.
Does anyone know what else to try?
    I am at a loss.

specs are FCP 6.0 P2 media transferred to a HDD via p2store. all the files but 2 from the shoot turned out fine.
also tried importing into FCP 5.1.4 on another machine

Copy the CONTENTS folder and LASTCLIP back to a P2 card, insert into the camera and use the REPAIR function…or even see if those will play in the camera. If they cannot be played or repaired, then they might be gone.

This happens. Not often, but it happens.

I use HD Log which is made by the same folks who make P2 Log Pro. HD Log has a P2 repair function. Check to see if P2 Log Pro has it, too.

    Shane,

I just read this post. I thought you couldn’t copy files back to a P2 card.
I am having import problems, but I can import from a P2 card just fine so I might like to try this.

    Thanks,

    Scott

I thought you couldn’t copy the CONTENTS folder and LASTCLIP back to a P2 card. I tried with no success. How do you do it?

    Thanks,

    Scott
