P2 Imports
I have some P2 files shot on the HVX-200 at 720p 24fps….
I am importing to FCP 6 — On the Log and Transfer window under PREFERENCES…there is an option to REMOVE ADVANCED AND DUPLICATE FRAMES…Do I need to have this option checked?
I am planning to edit this on a sequence with the NTSC DV settings…because the client wants the video on DVD Standard Def…Your suggestions are appreciated…

That option is for 1080p24, that shoots 24 frames at 29.97fps…so the duplicate frames need to be removed. If you shot 720p 24PN, then the footage exists as 23.98 so there is no pulldown to remove.
