    Hi there,
I had troubles getting my cards in Log and Transfer to appear, I have tried (or at least somebody who knows how in my office) all the tips and tricks you guys told me. Still nothing. On my laptop everything is fine. Only difference Laptop final cut 6.0 with leopard ,,, 8 core desktop Final cut 6.0.3 with panther and blackmagic extreneHD videocard.
I changed to leopard, reinstalled the whole FCP and Co, it worked two times, now is again nothing.
When I try to import the cards, it searches for 1 or 2 secs and… nothing, just nothing.
I can ingest all the clips going through the laptop and saving on the hard disk of the desktop, but that is not the idea, right?
    I have perian uninstalled.

Just for info, once I called apple support, one very unfriendly guy told me that I do not have paid for it (600€ per year, around 800USD) and if I even wanted to start talking to them I should pay 215€ for one support issue (almost 300USD) is that fair? I don’t think so actually it sounds to me as a bug, why should I pay so that they sort their own mess out?

Sorry for that but I am a bit angry.

    Another question is:
Cause I am a cameraman I have to give the P2 material to the client very fast.
Workflow is copying from Laptop to a WD external raid system , from it to an other Hard disk that the client takes with. Very often the client as huge problems in copying the cards because all the files look locked. It doesn’t happen always and sometimes on different computers you get different situations. ever heard of it?

I am starting thinking that one f the dead pc that I have killed on the way is coming back hunting me, maybe somebody knows a good cyberexorcist who could help me. ;)))

    Thanks in advance
    Greets gio.

Have you downloaded and installed the proper P2 drivers?

Yes I did or at least I think I did, I Installed everything I found on the Panasonic Website.
The strangest thing is that sometimes (1 on a100) it does work, and you think whoa what happened. than you switch FCP off and again on and it again doesn’t work. Didn’t change anything before, didn’t change anything after.
I even took the Blackmagic Videocard out. Didn’t help.
I am at a loss other computers from colleagues with the same settings work no problem.

    Is anybody there?

Do you have noise industries installed?

Noise Industries required an update as it hampered some imports.

Make sure you have the latest version installed.
