February 23, 2009 at 2:05 amYes, I’ve tried trashing the prefs, I’m not sure what rebuilding the permissions would do but I haven’t done that, how would I go about it?

February 23, 2009 at 2:43 amI’m not in front of my Mac, but I think theses are the correct steps. Start the Disk Utility app. You’ll see all mounted drives on the left. Highlight you startup disk and click the First Aid tab. Down below you’ll see the Repair Permissions button. Click it.
There’s one other diagnostic program you can try: Disk Warrior. If anything funky is happening with your drive(s) Disk warrior will fix it. It’s an indispensable program for the Mac.

March 20, 2009 at 11:45 pmTry to use your camera, point in the clip which has the X (!) icon and try to repair clip. works for me.
