I have imported hundreds of P2 Clips with no problem and then suddenly I get program freeze on an import of 32KB p2 clip. I’d skip the clip, but it’s part of a spanned clip that is very big … is it just me or has anyone else run into this and if so has anyone figured a way to get the clips to load or to remove it from the spanned video?

Additional Info. The 32KB MXF file has 0 duration in the associated XML file in the Clip Folder. I am attempting to edit the XML file for the clip that precedes the Zero duration clip – taking out the code that refers to the bad clip. Wish me luck!

    It worked!

Don;t know why the camera generated the extra empty file. Don’t know why PremierePro choked on it. But you can edit the XML in WordPad on the PC and get rid of the reference to that file. YAY!
