P2 FUJI Cards tests.
Hi Guys,
Ordered and Received today a P2 Fuji 32gig Today from my supplier, Looks like it came from the same factory as did the Pana cards.
Ingest speed into My Intel Macpro OS 10.5.5–Test A, via “drag n drop” Contents files (29gig- 1hour9mins- DVCpro50 SD) from desktop via my card reader to a raided drive set took 19mins.
Test B, via “Log n Transfer”into FCP 6.0.4 (29gig- 1hour9mins- DVCpro50 SD) via my card reader to a raided drive set took 17mins.

I could find No difference between this card and the Pana P2 cards except the price was less than the pana cards, this was because my supplier treated it as a retail product.
I see panasonic have included them on their P2 Format Station site.

Lovely. As the P2 specs are pretty much locked in stone by Panasonic I wouldn’t expect anything less.

Where did you buy the Fuji media and what price did they give you? I just paid $1529 for a 32GB Panasonic card…

Hi Jeremy,
I just asked a Supplier of mine who sells Fuji products and he said they get me one to test so I bought one.
Maybe they are not ready for major release as yet ?. (Doug) I paid a couple of hundred less than the Pana 32gig is selling for.Cheers
