I shot with the HVX over the weekend. We imported the footage onto a Powerbook that did not have Final Cut installed, so we copied all the footage over AND made disk images of each of the cards. We had issues with two of the .dmg files – they were corrupted so we tried loading the cards again and got the same error. Before I formatted the disks again I watched all of the footage in the camera to make sure it was OK. It played fine so I overrode the cards and we moved on.

When I got back Tuesday and started loading the footage into Final Cut, we had issues again with those two disks. I also tried importing them into P2 log (not pro) and again they would not load. All of the “CONTENTS” folder (including all of the .MXF files) is there, but there is nothing in the lastclip.txt file for both disks.

Is there anything I can do to get this footage to work?
    Thank You!
    Jennifer

Have you tried copying hte lastclip.txt from one of the other card files into the corrupt one, just to see what happens?

Yes. Same issue with FCP, and with P2 Log, the lastclip.txt file is not necessary for the import, so same issue there as well….

Do you have the content folder and files that you made the disc imgs from? If so have you tried them, Footage does not have to be put back on the P2 to import into FCP.
