  • P2, firewire 400? Will it do?

    Hiya all,
Quick question, cause I tried searching and came to nothing, although I know this has been answered somewhere….

I have a location edit coming up. I have a macbook with firewire400. They are planning on using P2 cameras. So assuming they are shooting DVCproHD, can I edit from a firewire 400 drive?

    Will it be faster enough?

    Thanks all.

    [seamus] ” I have a macbook with firewire400.”

MacBook or MacBook Pro? I’d say that on a MacBook this is going to be iffy at best. With a MBP and FW400 you will probably be fine with 720, but 1080 may be a stretch.

    FWIW,
    K
