p2 files grayed out
I have just received MXF files that were shot on P2 and transfered to a drive. I am trying to import them into my FCP 6.0 and the files are grayed out??
I had this problem once before with footage shot on a JVC camera and I needed a special codec. Is it possible I need a special codec to read these files??
i dont know much more about these files since they were just handed to me. Please help.

You can not import the MXF files into FCP. You need to log and transfer from the Contents Folder and last clip file.
You should learn P2 workflow. There are plenty of tutorials out there.
