I am trying to install the 1.33 Mac P2 Driver on my Macbook Pro so that I can use it with my Duel Adapter to read P2 cards.

I thought that I had already installed the driver and went ahead and installed the P2CMS software first. i then tried to use the Duel Adapter and realized that I hadn’t installed the P2 Driver. i downloaded it but I get a failure when I try to install it.

I have searched the forums but so far no luck with finding an answer. I have also looked on Panasonics site but no luck there either.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Shane,

I thought the same so I did the download again. Same problem.

I wish that there was an uninstaller for P2CMS.

    O.K.

    Update and good news!!

Robert and Jan from Panasonic rode in and saved the day.

Today, the 9th of June, Panasonic released P2 Driver version 1.5. This driver address an issue where a Macbook Pro has more than 2 gigs of RAM. I was able to get the new driver to install and will test it our later today.

The driver can be found at

I was able to mount the P2 card in the Duel Adapter. From what the Panasonic engineer told me today, this new P2 driver will make the Duel Adapter more reliable.

I was also able to update the firmware on my HPX 170 and can now use the “E” cards.

I am on a machine with Mac OS 10.5.6 and I had to send a message to Panasonic requesting a link to the software. A few hours later I was sent a link to an ftp site where I could download the new firmware (version 1.10 for my HPX 170). I had to copy the file directly to an SD card that had been formated by the camera. Firmware update took about 10 minutes.
