Good morning, I’m trying to copy P2 cards directly to a G-Tech hard drive. I follow the steps correctly. When I get to the in camera menu that should allow me to copy the only option I get is set up, the other options are shaded and can’t be accessed. Anybody have a clue?

    Thanks

If I recall right, The only way to copy directly from a camera to a hard drive is via USB. It doesn’t work via Firewire.

Just to make sure: you need to choose the firewire Host option in the menu. (Last menu point – Other Functions.)

It works fine on mine with firewire. Just to make sure: you need to choose the firewire Host option in the menu. (Last menu point – Other Functions.)
If you are using an G-tech mini drive (2.5 form factor) you need to provide power separately. Firewire doesn’t provide power for the drive.
