P2 clip into FCP
Hi all,
I know that FCP CAN import P2 files from log and transfer option,
but i would like to know if there is somewhere an otion to rename the clips. (Very annoying the naming P2 does).If not (which i think there is not) i would like to know if there is another utility that can do that thing for me.
Free is better…

P2CMS can rename claips, but it’s not better than log and transfer, but it is free.
The one that I use which is not free is P2 Flow from MXF4mac. Worth every cent. Very fast and easy to edit metadata.

If you just want to rename clips, you can do that in the L&T Clip Name field. And, if you name the folders holding each P2 card appropriately, like Cow Shoot-date-1, 2…, that will appear as Reel info in L&T.
