p2 card, still being a bitch
Hello Creative Cow world,
I’m trying to import P2 files into FCP 5.14 running on a Dual 2ghz G5. This may be the first time that P2 cards have been imported into this machine.
Currently when I click, File) import) Panasonic P2) nothing happens. When I select that option again an empty window pops up that says, “RAD ingest”. This window cannot be closed with out exiting the program. I’m using a raid drive as a capture drive but have saved the P2 data onto an internal drive. I tried installing a driver but that didn’t help either. Is there a setting I need to select that will enable the P2 import window? Also, I have been importing HDCAM tapes at 1080 but this P2 card was recorded at 720. Could that have anything to do with it?
Any advice?
