I have had 4 cards get corrupted in the last few months (Red X). Just wondering if any else has had a problem. I know there is a service to restore the media, but it is not cheap. Is this format starting to show its age???

If you didn’t need to restore the media, can you reformat the cards so that they work again?

P2 cards are extremely durable and reliable. The only way I know of corrupting a card is to shut off power to the camera when recording. If there is some other way, it has to be physical abuse. P2 is so reliable, even if power is shut off from the camera, the card re writes to itself and saves every 2 seconds.

yeah that’s a lot of errors for a P2 camera. I’d suggest have the camera itself serviced…
