I recently returned from an 8 week shoot only to find that footage shot on the last day could not be captured from my P2 card. I got the infamous “Reformat Error”. After reading posts here about the problem I wound up sending it to Panasonic and they did a great job of recovering the data and getting it back to me quickly. Cost me close to $300 but one shot on that card of a spotted eagle ray swimming over the reef amidst a school of fish was worth every dime. Bite the bullet. It’s only painful for a second or two.

Who did you contact at Panasonic? Is this a US service as UK and Ireland customer services say the recovery service doesn’t exist.
