Why might the p2 card not be detected? It appears in the dock, but not on the desktop. We have been using a different laptop, though the same model, and have not had a problem. Is this a formatting issue? It seems the Panasonic site offers drivers, but only for PC. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions?

ON my tutorial for the workflow I have a like to the Mac version of the driver:

How can it appear in the Dock but not the Desktop? I have only seen it on the desktop, never the Dock.

I’ve got a 17″ Powerbook and have this problem from time to time (okay, so it doesn’t show in the dock, but on the top-of-the-screen-header-thing by my airport and blue-tooth icons, etc).

At any rate, this is the time to reboot the laptop. Fixes it every time for me.

By the way, I’ve had more instances of this problem when turning the camera off before ejecting the P2 card, even if I wait for as much as 30 seconds! I have no idea why it’s more stable ejecting the card from the camera with the power on, but that’s my experience.

Thanks so much guys, the driver did the trick. (And yes, sorry, I meant that it was appearing in the “header,” not the dock). Thanks again for your help!
