P2 Backup to BluRay
We recently acquired a BluRay burner to start backing up all our P2 footage to BluRay discs, since these can hold up to 25GB. However, our burner did not come with the software to do the job. Does anyone have experience with a fairly inexpensive application that will allow us to burn data BluRay discs? Thanks.

Roxio Toast on the Mac will do it.
It will also allow you to span data over multiple disks.

Imagine Products and Primera have a joint venture with Shotput Pro as well.
Haven’t tried it, but worth looking.

Yes, I love Toast. I have that on my MacPro at home, but at the office we’re on Windows XP unfortunately. Any ideas for PC?

Yep. Try CDburnerXP. I know it doesn’t sound high tech, but this freeware …yes FREE burning software cooks everything including bluray. I have used it for the past 2 years on several machines, and it hasn’t cooked a coaster yet!
If you are after a package that also encodes to BDV…try Cyberlink Power Producer. Click and forget encoding and burning. BUT….the encoding..although incredibly fast for it’s results…can be a bit ropey in the quality department. Good for a quick preview off disk.
