P2 audio/video link problem
What is the best way to import P2 files with audio and video?
As the audio files are separate from the video, I am currently having to search through the browser and locate the audio files that correspond to an XML video file, and merge the clips. There ought to be a way to make FCP link the audio and video automatically. Please help

It does if you use Log and transfer.
How are you importing the material?

My camera team has given me the files, created by the HPX500, on a data disc. So, I copy them to my external and then import files or folder directly into the bin.
I notice that when dragging a file into log and transfer, the app crashes when trying to initialize a deck, which I am without.

OK, Lars. I see you have never worked with P2 footage before. Did your camera team give you the CONTENTS folder? If so, have a look at this:
